The first time you make a costume mostly from scratch is incredibly rewarding. It’s satisfying to gather found materials, but it’s another level when you actually cut fabric and sew it together or sculpt props and cast them. Redditor MrKite6 nailed it with this Kylo Ren costume. The only parts they didn’t make or heavily modify are the gloves and boots. They spent a year and a half getting everything right, including modifying the Black Series Kylo Ren helmet; they even took out the plastic visor and glued in fabric.
