Now in its sixth year, PA’s Raspberry Pi competition has seen its strongest ever entries in 2018. More than 100 schools entered the competition, which sees teams of schoolchildren show off their creativity and coding skills.
This year’s theme is sustainability. We challenged schools all over the UK to use a Raspberry Pi – a credit-card-sized computer – to invent something that will help ‘save the planet’.
Our Raspberry Pi competition is a core part of our ongoing work to help inspire and support young people. The competition gives teams of students as young as eight the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of computer programming and engineering – valuable skills which have been declining in the UK in recent years.
