Circuit and Physics Simulations in Browser

Over at falstad.com, you’ll find an oasis of physics goodness. 46 visual simulations of various phenomena, written mostly in Javascript, so they are visible in a modern browser.

Of special interest is the analog circuit simulator.  There is a list of excellent simulations with display of the waveforms of the voltages in the circuit like an oscilloscope.

Check out (pictured above) this sine and cosine generator using two integrators.

One of my favorites is the tesla coil:

  1. I use this circuit simulator for my high school engineering class! I am excited to see it featured on this site. It is easy to use for my students (grades 9-12) and wonderfully visually descriptive.
