An Internet of Things Split-Flap Weather Forecast Display
gabbapeople posts on Instructables about making a nice split-flap display to show current weather information. If you’ve ever been to an airport or rail station with split-flap displays, they are mesmerizing, flipping around to display different messages.
Materials are laser cut with full design files included. On programming:
I decided to program the display using the XOD environment. XOD is ideal for fast prototyping.
I published the library “gabbapeople/iot-split-flap-display” that contains the necessary nodes and patches for the display control. You can find the library description on the XOD website.
