Adafruit RGB Matrix HAT + RTC for Raspberry Pi – Mini Kit: You can now create a dazzling display with your Raspberry Pi Model Zero/A+/B+/Pi 2 or Pi 3 with the Adafruit RGB Matrix HAT. This HAT plugs into your Pi and makes it super easy to control RGB matrices such as those we stock in the shop and create a colorful scrolling display or mini LED wall with ease.

This HAT is our finest to date, full of some really great circuitry. See more!

3921 02 Round Black Zipper Case: How many pockets does an OTG (On The Go) maker need to carry their boards, wires, miscellanea when away from their desk? The world may never know.

We get serious satisfaction when things fit into other things, so we fell in love with this zipper case as it is the exact perfect size for a Circuit Playground Express!

There’s even a little inside pocket that you can use to stash accessories like USB cables, alligator clips, jumper wires, extra batteries, etc! Perfect handheld size and heft and pops easily into your bag, purse, or pocket. See more!

Molex Pico Blade 2-pin Cable – 200mm: When 0.1″ is too big, and JST PH’s too chunky, the ultra-slim “PicoBlade” is a reliable alternative. These are only 1.25mm pitch, but have a nice clicky connection.

This cable is nice and long, 200mm in fact. It’s got both small form factor (won’t take up a lot of real estate on your PCB) and friction lock to make easy-breezy connections to your HalloWing or anything else with a 1.25mm PicoBlade connection. See more!

Flanged Weatherproof Enclosure With PG-7 Cable Glands: Whether you’re raiding tombs or traversing nuclear fallout wastelands, this is the most heavy-duty enclosure for your project! Weatherproof? Check. Tough polycarbonate cover? Check. Built-in gasket seal? Oh yeah, check.

Store your project safe and sound in this Flanged Weatherproof Enclosure. We especially like the machinable ABS plastic body, four mounting holes, and the easy-open screws that can be taken apart as many times as you wish without worrying about cracking or stripping. See more!

2 x AA Battery Holder with Knife Switch: We’ve got battery holders for all sorts of needs and projects! Waterproof? Here ya go. With a clicky on/off switch? Easy peasy. Here’s our latest addition in classy Adafruit black: 2 x AA Battery Holder with Knife Switch. What’s so special about ’em? Well with the knife switch you can easily control the flow of electricity to your project. See more!

3959 06 Analog Potentiometer Volume Adjustable TRRS Headset: Most modern headphone sets are purely digital – with three volume control buttons in-line with the cable. These headphones are interesting in that they have an analog volume control potentiometer. Perfect for use with electronic projects that don’t have a volume control, or for phones that don’t know how to use the digital buttons. There is one button on the headset, often used for ‘pause’ or ‘mute’ – when pressed it grounds the microphone pin.

These earbud headphones are the perfect accessory for your FONA – they’ve been tested to work with our modules – but can be used with any iOS or Android device that uses a TRRS pinout. See more!

Grace Hopper: Queen of Computer Code by Laurie Wallmark – Illustrated by Katy Wu: “If you’ve got a good idea, and you know it’s going to work, go ahead and do it.” – Grace Hopper

Grace Hopper dedicated her life to solving computer problems. With her passion for problem-solving and insatiable curiosity, “Amazing Grace” revolutionized computer programming.

Grace Hopper: Queen of Computer Code is an inspiring, upbeat picture-book biography of one of STEM’s unsung heroes. Did you know Grace originated the term “computer bug”? This beautifully illustrated book follows Grace’s clock-tinkering in childhood to Vassar collegiate life to her long career in the US Navy (she retired as an admiral! At almost 80 years old!).

This is an excellent read for any young person (or grownup!) and highlights unconventional thinking and not being afraid of change. See more!

Pimoroni Inky pHAT – eInk Display – Black/White: Here at Adafruit we never tire of cool, new displays, so these super sweet e-paper displays really caught our eye! Pimoroni’s Inky pHat is a petite 212×104 pixel two-color display that looks fantastic and is easy to read even in bright daylight. Broadcast your tweets, the weather, or even graphing data. eInk is great for displays that don’t change often, due to the 3-second display-change-cycle. But the contrast and readability cannot be beat. Best of all, if you shut down the Pi, the display stays on, which is pretty magical the first time you see it.

No soldering required! The display is already assembled and connected via a ribbon cable. Just plop Inky pHAT on your Pi of choice and run the installer, and soon you’ll have the cutest little electronic paper display. See more!

16mm Height Metal Caster Bearing Wheel: Get your ‘bot rolling with this durable and smooth steel ball caster. We like the size (not too big, not too small) and surprisingly fluid motion of this caster. It’s also really easy to attach, with two screw mounts that will allow you to attach it to any chassis material. Note that it doesn’t come with any mounting hardware, use 4-40 or M3 screws to attach to whatever you like. See more!

20mm Height Metal Caster Bearing Wheel: Get your ‘bot rolling with this durable and smooth steel ball caster. See more!

Lithium Ion Polymer Battery Ideal For Feathers – 3.7V 400mAh: Lithium ion polymer (also known as ‘lipo’ or ‘lipoly’) batteries are thin, light and powerful. The output ranges from 4.2V when completely charged to 3.7V. This battery has a capacity of 400mAh for a total of about 1.9 Wh. If you need a larger (or smaller!) battery, we have a full range of LiPoly batteries.

The batteries come pre-attached with a genuine 2-pin 25mm JST-PH connector as shown and include the necessary protection circuitry. Because they have a genuine JST connector, not a knock-off, the cable won’t snag or get stuck in a matching JST jack, they click in and out smoothly.

The size of this battery was customized so that it tucks perfectly between the headers on a Feather, and you can even sandwich it between a Feather and FeatherWing. See more!

AdaBox009 – HalloWing: Are you the kind of person who doesn’t like taking down the skeletons and spiders until after January? Well, we’ve got the ADABOX for you. This is electronics at its most spooky! ADABOX 009 is Halloween themed, for all of us who love scares, costumes, and (of course!) candy. OK, so we didn’t fill this ADABOX with candy corn, but we did curate a collection of inspiring electronics to make your Halloween more electric. You might have so much fun, you’ll celebrate it year round!

Please note! This is NOT the subscription version of AdaBox! This version does not include free shipping. See more!

Adafruit BMP388 – Precision Barometric Pressure and Altimeter: Bosch has been a leader in barometric pressure sensors, from the BMP085. BMP180, and BMP280… now we’ve got the next generation, the Adafruit BMP388 Precision Barometric Pressure sensor. As you would expect, this sensor is similar to its earlier versions but even better. The BMP388 has better precision than ever, which makes it excellent for environmental sensing or as a precision altimeter. It can even be used in either I2C and SPI configurations.

The BMP3xx is the next-generation of sensors from Bosch, and is the upgrade to the BMP280 – with a low altitude noise as low as 0.1m and the same fast conversion time. And like the previous BMP280, you can use I2C or SPI. For simple easy wiring, go with I2C. If you want to connect a bunch of sensors without worrying about I2C address collisions, go with SPI.
