Don’t know how or where to start? Check out the BBC micro:bit Lesson #0 in the Adafruit Learn System.
So what is this unassuming little board? It’s name is the BBC micro:bit, and it is a little computer you can write programs for. It has various gadgets like buttons and lights that you can use to do all kinds of fun stuff. There’s even a compass!
In this guide we’ll briefly go over the main features of the BBC micro:bit, just so you have an idea what’s going on. The main web site is at www.microbit.org where you can go to find more information.
Already familiar with the micro:bit? Maybe it’s time for you to step up your game with the Adafruit CRICKIT for micro:bit
Sometimes we wonder if robotics engineers ever watch movies. If they did, they’d know that making robots into slaves always ends up in a robot rebellion. Why even go down that path? Here at Adafruit, we believe in making robots our friends!
So if you find yourself wanting a companion, consider the robot. They’re fun to program, and you can get creative with decorations.
You can also try making your own micro:bit Puppet “Text Message” System!
Even if you’ve mastered the micro:bit, there’s always the skill badge.
No matter how you spend your holiday, Adafruit would like to wish you happy making!
