Do something powerful today:
Today is the global day of giving. What better opportunity to stand with our movement to close the gender gap in technology than by donating before midnight this #GivingTuesday?
Our Sisterhood is a diverse community of students, alumni, parents, and volunteers who come together to support young girls in developing their tech skills. Our digital visual album, called Sisterh>>d, celebrates these young women driving our most transformative moments.
Support our movement of over 90,000 girls across all 50 states. Right now, in a room of 25 software engineers only 3 are women. Our vision is to bridge this gender gap by building the largest pipeline of future female engineers. We are on track to achieving gender parity in entry level computer science jobs by 2027, but we can only achieve this with your help.
You have the resources to help close the gender gap in technology. By engaging your network of you can help inspire, educate, and equip girls with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities and become change agents in their communities.
Stop breadboarding and soldering – start making immediately! Adafruit’s Circuit Playground is jam-packed with LEDs, sensors, buttons, alligator clip pads and more. Build projects with Circuit Playground in a few minutes with the drag-and-drop MakeCode programming site, learn computer science using the CS Discoveries class on code.org, jump into CircuitPython to learn Python and hardware together, or even use Arduino IDE. Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for MakeCode, CircuitPython, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.
