Home Depot sourced Flame Effect LED Light Bulb Teardown
From the ElectronUpdate blog, they post a teardown of a consumer feit flame effect LED light bulb, available at Home Depot for about $14 US.
(The) controller (chip, upper right) is a good example of a modern process node. Appears to have a ROM section (presume NAND or NOR based flash). A wee bit of RAM. and 16 pins. With 2 for power I suspect there is enough left over to run the matrix of LEDs that light up.
