JOIN US at 8pm EST TONIGHT Wednesday, 12/19/2018 for the live unboxing of AdaBox 010 — We’ll have a Q&A, live demos, and more!
Get ready to tune in for a special AdaBox 010 Unboxing take-over on Ask an Engineer! Join John Park at 8pm EST / 5pm PST this Wednesday, 12/19/2018 for the live unboxing of the Light-and-Sound-themed Rainbow Trellis AdaBox 010 — Ladyada and Mr. Ladyada will be in the chat to answer your questions!
This ADABOX is a multi-sensory feast – Lights! Sound! Squishy buttons! This box comes with a Trellis M4. It’s a grid of 4×8 silicone buttons, with a NeoPixel behind each one for rainbow glory. The engine is a ATSAMD51 microcontroller with stereo audio channels and microphone input.
Trellis is an all-in-one synthesizer, drum-machine, MIDI sequencer, audio filter, sampler…A DIY toy that will help you make any sort of music you’d like, so you can make the bleepy-bloops all winter long.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship and support from Analog Devices and Digi-Key, we’ve even included a fancy triple-axis accelerometer! Each Trellis M4 comes with an ADXL343 built right in, so your lights and music can react to movement and tilt.
Stop breadboarding and soldering – start making immediately! Adafruit’s Circuit Playground is jam-packed with LEDs, sensors, buttons, alligator clip pads and more. Build projects with Circuit Playground in a few minutes with the drag-and-drop MakeCode programming site, learn computer science using the CS Discoveries class on code.org, jump into CircuitPython to learn Python and hardware together, TinyGO, or even use the Arduino IDE. Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.
Have an amazing project to share? The Electronics Show and Tell is every Wednesday at 7pm ET! To join, head over to YouTube and check out the show’s live chat – we’ll post the link there.
