ADXL343 – Triple-Axis Accelerometer (+-2g/4g/8g/16g) w/ I2C/SPI: Analog Devices has followed up on their popular classic, the ADXL345, with this near-drop-in-replacement, the ADXL343. Like the original, this is a triple-axis accelerometer with digital I2C and SPI interface breakout. It has a wide sensitivity range and high resolution, operating with an 10 or 13-bit internal ADC. Built-in motion detection features make tap, double-tap, activity, inactivity, and free-fall detection trivial. There’s two interrupt pins, and you can map any of the interrupts independently to either of them. Read more
Potentiometer with Built In Knob – 10K ohm: We’ve seen these in miniature synthesizers. They’re bigger than a trim-pot, but smaller than a chunky potentiometer. Best of all no knob required! These have a knurled plastic grip with a white stripe marking. Use it as-is, for a low cost adjustment. Read more
Element14 Desktop Enclosure Kit for Raspberry Pi Computers: Element14’s Pi Desktop Enclosure Kit gives you the gear to convert your Raspberry Pi into a mini desktop computer! The sleek, minimal enclosure is designed with an expansion controller that plugs into your Pi to give it all the extras you’ve been missing. It comes intelligent on/off power switch and RTC. It even has an mSATA SSD socket and controller so you can plug in a large storage drive to create a media center or network storage system. If you have a Pi camera, you can insert it into a special slot in the case, no dangly bits! Read more
Adafruit 2.13″ Tri-Color eInk / ePaper Display FeatherWing – Red Black White: Easy e-paper finally comes to your Feather, with this breakout that’s designed to make it a breeze to add a tri-color eInk display. Chances are you’ve seen one of those new-fangled ‘e-readers’ like the Kindle or Nook. They have gigantic electronic paper ‘static’ displays – that means the image stays on the display even when power is completely disconnected. The image is also high contrast and very daylight readable. It really does look just like printed paper! Read more
