The WIND breakout board pairs your Feather processor with sensors and battery #Feather #Adafruit #FeatherWing @idlehandsdev

A new breakout board in the Adafruit Feather format is out. Sean Hodgins has designed the WIND project accelerator board. Sean writes:

WIND is a breakout board for the Adafruit Feather Series to make it easier to fly wire and put together a project with little to no soldering.

It contains a battery holder for a 18650 (I hate loose batteries!), a few buttons, and 5 pin headers for each pin (plus a proto section). There is a power switch connected to the Enable pin (shuts off the regulator), and a voltage divider to the A0 analog for monitoring battery voltage.

This makes it easy to mount in a housing, and wire up different sensors you want to test.

The project is Open Source and the details are on the WIND GitHub repo.

See the Youtube video below for more details.  A very nice project!

Stop breadboarding and soldering – start making immediately! Adafruit’s Circuit Playground is jam-packed with LEDs, sensors, buttons, alligator clip pads and more. Build projects with Circuit Playground in a few minutes with the drag-and-drop MakeCode programming site, learn computer science using the CS Discoveries class on code.org, jump into CircuitPython to learn Python and hardware together, or even use Arduino IDE. Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for MakeCode, CircuitPython, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.
