National Week of Making 2019 #WeekofMaking@NationOfMakers

NewImage

Today kicks off National Week of Making (June 21 – 27). This is a week to celebrate and encourage makers across the country. From the supportive communities to the ingenious solutions makers help foster new ideas and creativity. At Adafruit we celebrate makers everyday but we are always happy to help shine an extra light where we can.

All week long we will share #WeekofMaking stories on the Adafruit blog. Be sure to follow along and share your own stories on Facebook, Twitter and in the comments on the blog!

From National Week of Making:

Building on last year’s National Week of Making, this year’s Week will highlight the diversity of Makers big and small, young and old, urban and rural. The Week of Making is an opportunity to for individuals in communities throughout the U.S. to participate in Making activities locally, celebrating the innovation, ingenuity and creativity of Makers.

Makers are developing new solutions and products for pressing challenges, engaging students in hands on, interactive learning of STEM, arts, and design, and enabling individuals to learn new skills in fabrication and manufacturing. This site was created by Nation of Makers to support, encourage, promote, and highlight organizations from around the country who are working to create more opportunities for more people of all ages to make.
