This video shows how we solder USB plugs to the Bluefruit LE Friend with our selective solder machine. We design and build a lot of our own equipment at Adafruit, as seen with this laser cut acrylic fixture. This allows for the precise placement of USB plugs while they’re being soldered into place by our selective soldering machine, with just enough clearance so that the molten solder doesn’t melt the acrylic while still bulky enough to remain rigid throughout.
