the collection, which is called ‘tapestry’, sees vigil crafting laurel leaf patterns and other flower-based designs beneath three-dimensional buttercream flowers. in doing so, she creates a tapestry-like surface decoration that’s reminiscent of embroidered mexican dresses, although vigil cites russian thread work and blooms of spring as her inspiration.
