The Team Trees project mission is simple yet monumental:

Help us plant 20 million trees around the globe by January 1st, 2020.

#TeamTrees started in May 2019 when the internet challenged MrBeast to plant 20 million trees to commemorate hitting the 20M subscriber milestone. Fans then suggested he band together with a bunch of other YouTubers and influencers to make it happen. A growing group of them have been working hard for the past five months to set up the framework for this insane goal to have a fighting chance of success.

The organization has seen some epic donations in the past week from the likes of (tre)Elon Musk, Jack Dorsey and Susan Wojcicki.

Using the Dashblock application, we made a custom API that allows us to access current tree donation count. We recently made some other Dashblock powered PyPortal displays to track various fundraisers and donations so we figured we’d make one for Team Trees!
