Nation of Makers is dedicated to helping makers by supporting maker organizations; through advocacy, sharing of resources, and building of community within the maker movement and beyond. This #GivingTuesday, consider helping to support our work towards supporting maker organizations throughout the United States through your generous donation. No amount is too small to make a difference.
Our work impacts the maker movement directly through our innovative partnerships and projects – from our annual Nation of Makers conference (NOMCON) – a national convening of maker community leaders, representing makerspaces, maker organizations, local and federal government, nonprofits, for-profits, and industry – to partnerships such as the U.S. Dept of Energy American Made Solar Prize Challenge, to data gathering efforts within our community, such as our Annual Survey of Makerspaces, to advocacy, to our support those making a difference at the local level as they start new makerspaces and maker organizations, and so much more.
Today is #GivingTuesday . In the makers/electronics/engineering community we all have something we can give, our time, our talents, our code, our designs, and today we’re celebrating companies and organizations that help make this happen. We’re also celebrating organizations and people that could use your help to keep their efforts going.
We’ll be posting all day with some #GivingTuesday ideas to consider, post yours and we’ll help get the word out.
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world on December 3, 2019 and every day.
It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
