‘Cycling Through Water’ provides a unique experience of Belgium’s lakes
I was lucky enough to spend some time in rural Belgium during the summer of 2017 and it’s hard to ignore that cycling is a complete way of life there. The bike lanes are more populated than most of the motorways! I’m totally loving this bike path in a Belgian lake district – I’m sure its beauty is not wasted on the Belgians, via designboom.
in belgium‘s largest lake district, de wijers, a unique path for cyclists has been carved by lens°ass architecten, with a nature conservation project of the surrounding ponds undertaken by burolandschap. the trail, which can be found in bokrijk, in between cycle junctions 91 and 243, first opened in 2016 and has since welcomed hundreds of thousands of tourists and was even named in TIME’s 2018 list of the world’s 100 greatest places.
Have an amazing project to share? The Electronics Show and Tell is every Wednesday at 7:30pm ET! To join, head over to YouTube and check out the show’s live chat and our Discord!
