Three fun, sensor-packed projects to try on your CLUE! #AdafruitLearningSystem #Adafruit #CircuitPython @Adafruit

The Adafruit CLUE is great little board, chock-full of sensors, buttons and an excellent little display. The project possibilities are endless! So, where to begin? We’ve created three fun demos to get you started. Check them out!

Spirit Level

First up is a spirit level demo. It uses the accelerometer and the display to create a spirit level. Load it up and tilt the board to watch the “bubble” float to the top!

Temperature and Humidity Monitor

Next up is a customisable temperature and humidity monitor with an optional audible alarm. It uses the temperature and humidity sensors, and the display. Within the code, you can set the desired temperature and humidity ranges. Then, when the temperature or humidity goes below the range, the text turns blue, and when they are above the range, the text turns red. If the optional audible alarm is enabled, it will go off when the values are outside the range on either end.

Height Calculator

Finally, we have a height calculator. It uses the barometric pressure sensor to calculate the altitude, and then uses some simple math to allow you to calculate the height of an object. Place the CLUE at the base of the object you wish to measure, and press button A to zero it. Then lift the CLUE to the top of the object to see the height!

Keep an eye out for more demos coming soon!

Stop breadboarding and soldering – start making immediately! Adafruit’s Circuit Playground is jam-packed with LEDs, sensors, buttons, alligator clip pads and more. Build projects with Circuit Playground in a few minutes with the drag-and-drop MakeCode programming site, learn computer science using the CS Discoveries class on code.org, jump into CircuitPython to learn Python and hardware together, TinyGO, or even use the Arduino IDE. Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.
