Robot Rover Playgroundbook for macOS @apple #Swift #SwiftPlaygrounds #EveryoneCanCode #AppleEduChat
Great news! Apple has just launched Swift Playgrounds on macOS! This is a Catalyst-based port of the iPad app with the same lightweight way of managing modules, that automatically syncs with the iPad version!
If you’re unfamiliar with Swift Playgrounds, it’s Apple’s free learn-to-code sandbox app that holds an array of “Playgroundbooks” to educate and entertain it’s users on their journey in coding. This also comes with support for third-party Playground publishers like us!
Reintroducing the Robot Rover playgroundbook! This playgroundbook uses the Mini 3-Layer Round Robot Chassis Kit with DC motors(previously for Adabox – 002). Once you’ve assemble your Robot Rover, you can give it simple movement commands, custom commands, and you can use it to solve a few coding challenges within our playgroundbook.
If you need help finding the Robot Rover playgroundbook, press “See All” to access more playgroundbooks including ours.
Happy Coding!

Stop breadboarding and soldering – start making immediately! Adafruit’s Circuit Playground is jam-packed with LEDs, sensors, buttons, alligator clip pads and more. Build projects with Circuit Playground in a few minutes with the drag-and-drop MakeCode programming site, learn computer science using the CS Discoveries class on code.org, jump into CircuitPython to learn Python and hardware together, TinyGO, or even use the Arduino IDE. Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.
