In this Alexandre Chappel video, he turns an Ikea Kullaberg task chair into a workstation with space beneath to store a bunch of the tools and supplies he might need at close hand while at his workbench.
Regardless of whether you do this specific project, it’s good inspiration for thinking about utilizing spaces you might never otherwise consider (e.g. the space beneath your seat) for storage or other practical uses.
