THIEF RIVER FALLS — Digi-Key collaborates with the University of Minnesota to create a plan to make parts for low-cost respirators — — devices that could save lives.
It’s a possible solution to the country’s ventilator shortage.
“It is quite scary how many respirators could be needed,” said Randall Restle, vice president of applications engineering. “We’re told that we could need tens of thousands of respirators. And so that is going to be a real challenge.”
Digi-Key is the source for many Adafruit products for projects like these and more, they’ve assisted us as we’ve been pausing on some types of order so we can focus on the priority essential needs.
