Black Rubber Joystick Nubbin Cap for Navigation Joystick
A new tiny squishy delight! This Black Rubber Joystick Nubbin Cap is the perfect add-on to any of your projects with a 5-way navigation joystick, like our Adafruit Mini Color TFT with Joystick FeatherWing or Adafruit 128×64 OLED Bonnet for Raspberry Pi. Fits perfectly on classic 5-way navigation joysticks like this one.
Adafruit BH1750 Light Sensor – STEMMA QT / Qwiic
This is the BH1750 16-bit Ambient Light Sensor from Rohm. Because of how important it is to humans and most other living things, sensing the amount of light in an environment is a common place to get started when learning to work with microcontrollers and sensors. Should we turn up the brightness of our display or dim it to save power? Which direction should your robot move to stay in an area with the most light? Is it day or night? All of these questions can be answered with the help of the BH1750. It’s a small, capable and inexpensive light sensor that you can include into your next project to add the detection and measurement of light.
Adafruit VL53L0X Time of Flight Distance Sensor – ~30 to 1000mm
The VL53L0X is a Time of Flight distance sensor like no other you’ve used! The sensor contains a very tiny invisible laser source, and a matching sensor. The VL53L0X can detect the “time of flight”, or how long the light has taken to bounce back to the sensor. Since it uses a very narrow light source, it is good for determining distance of only the surface directly in front of it. Unlike sonars that bounce ultrasonic waves, the ‘cone’ of sensing is very narrow. Unlike IR distance sensors that try to measure the amount of light bounced, the VL53L0x is much more precise and doesn’t have linearity problems or ‘double imaging’ where you can’t tell if an object is very far or very close.
The Espruino Puck.js v2 is a low energy Bluetooth smart button that can be programmed and debugged wirelessly with JavaScript. It is both multi-functional and easy to use, with a custom circuit board, the latest Nordic chip, Bluetooth LE, NFC, magnetometer, temperature sensor, RGB LEDs, infrared and much more, all enclosed in a tiny silicone case. You get all the joy of an interpreted language, with some great sensors and wireless functionality!
