PUP (Pet – Ur – Phone) With Raspberry Pi @Raspberry_Pi #PiDay #RaspberryPi
If only our phones could follow us around like it was a little pet. Here’s a project that uses Raspberry Pi to do just that. Here’s more from Patan Sanaulla Khan via hackster.io:
Sometimes you wish you could have your phone follow you to your kitchen when you are cooking, or maybe in your yard when gardening. Therefore PUP or Pet-Ur-Phone is a way to make your phone follow you around like a pet, especially when your hands are not free. PUP uses the phone camera and applies OpenCV to detect and follow the owner in the given environment. The sensors on PUP help to avoid obstacles on its path, making the robot easy to follow you around.
