We continue our look at the vehicles of cyberpunk by way of this scene from the 2018 movie adaptation of Ernie Cline’s 2010 novel, Ready Player One.
The scene depicts an urban car race within the OASIS, the virtual world that much of the population spends its time in to escape the impoverishment of the real one.
As you would expect from a high-budget film written and directed by Stephen Spielberg, this CGI car race and chase is spectacular.
