Dark Horse releases Cyberpunk 2077 comic book #cyberpunk

On September 9th, Dark Horse released the first book in a 4-issue comic set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, the upcoming videogame from CD Projekt Red. The 22-page books are written by Cullen Bunn (Harrow County, Uncanny X-Men) and illustrated by Miguel Valderrama (Giants)

The series follows Nadia, an EMT for the privately-owned Trauma Team International, an emergency response unit that goes places others wonn’t dare to go. In addition to stretchers and medical gear, they bring along a kill team.

In the first issue, Nadia is the sole survivor of a failed rescue mission turned bloody firefight. After she’s cleared by the company shrink, she reluctantly goes on her next mission and it turns out to be more harrowing than the last.

It’s too early to tell if this series will be any good. I do find the premise of a (basically) combat medic working the streets of Night City to have promise.

Looks like the issues will come out the first week of each month and are available for $3.99 each on Comixology.

  1. I have been a big fan of Cullen Bunn ever since I read The Damned and even though I haven’t been able to take a look at this comic book, I am pretty sure that it will be another masterpiece by Bunn. The price also looks very reasonable so I can’t any reason whey this series won’t be a hit.
