Hello everyone! We’re so excited to be bringing you what is actually our first sale of the year! We normally run several smaller sales throughout the year during various holidays leading up to our biggest sale being for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But as you all know, 2020 has been a rough year for all of us. Due to the pandemic, our team has been cut down by about 30% (see the latest update from our president Jan here), and we’ve been busy keeping up with the changing situation instead of working on things like sales. But sales are fun, and we could all use a little fun right now, and we’re not going to let COVID ruin one of the most exciting times of the year for us and our customers.
So the Black Friday sale is here, and it’s here early, and it will last longer than it ever has before!
Below you will find details and coupon codes for everything included in the sale. The sale coupons and price changes are active now, and the sale runs through Wednesday, December 2. We hope these deals give all you robotics and electronics enthusiasts out there a happy start to the holiday season!
Last week we emailed some companies in the maker world to see what sales they were going to have for Black Friday / Cyber Monday, etc, most of them got back to us, others did not, but we’ll cover them any way if they have sales that we can find.
We call this #ADADEALS – they are sales and deals that are not from Adafruit and happen to be in the maker / electronics / engineering community in some way (we’ve done this before).
Some could say we’re linking to and promoting “competitors” but we do not see it that way…all companies in this space are working together (or could!) to make great hardware for the Maker community and we are inspired by them!
Follow #ADADEALS on the blog and on Twitter. And post your own, use the tag #ADADEALS and we’ll Re-Tweet it and all that.
We’ll be post them today, all weekend long, and Monday.

Stop breadboarding and soldering – start making immediately! Adafruit’s Circuit Playground is jam-packed with LEDs, sensors, buttons, alligator clip pads and more. Build projects with Circuit Playground in a few minutes with the drag-and-drop MakeCode programming site, learn computer science using the CS Discoveries class on code.org, jump into CircuitPython to learn Python and hardware together, TinyGO, or even use the Arduino IDE. Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.
Have an amazing project to share? The Electronics Show and Tell is every Wednesday at 7:30pm ET! To join, head over to YouTube and check out the show’s live chat and our Discord!
