The Great Search is a new series of videos focused on searching the Digi-Key catalog to narrow down to the parts you want to buy. This week (video):

Before HDMI, before Thunderbolt, before USB or even Firewire, there was the venerable D-Sub connector. You see these on VGA cables, RS-232 ports, and other sundry devices. Despite their age, they are still great connectors and you’ll likely end up adding some to one of your designs. We’re going to spec one for our CAN-Bus Featherwing (CAN uses a DE-9 in some situations).
