The Covid Tracking Project (https://covidtracking.com) tracks all US state data and collates it into one report. This project for MagTag wakes up once a day at 8pm, about a half hour after the data is posted daily, and displays the latest data report. In between check-ins the MagTag goes into a deep sleep mode so it will run for many weeks on a charge.
This is a good example of Python on hardware, IoT, JSON, Wi-Fi, e-ink, and low-power electronics displaying important information – AND, it’s easy to code, use, change, and adapt.
Have an amazing project to share? The Electronics Show and Tell is every Wednesday at 7:30pm ET! To join, head over to YouTube and check out the show’s live chat and our Discord!
