Toy Restoration of a 1960s Scissor Lift Airport Truck

As a young aerospace/aviation nerd, I would’ve killed for this 1960s Structo scissor lift airport truck.

Another restoration video tagged as ASMR. I guess that’s a trend in YouTube making vids these days.

As much as I liked the toy, and the restoration, I think it’s kind of cheating not to show every aspect of the restoration process. Where did the plastic parts come from? Is that the original windshield? Did he make that replacement decal or get that from a vendor? We want to see all of the steps (or at least know how they were accomplished).

  1. Coincidentally I’ve been watching series of videos like these lately, too. I can’t tell if it’s one person with several names or a couple people with the same style and tools. But the toys all appear to be from the "Metalcraft" company. A search for "metalcraft toys" or "metalcraft decals" turns up a not-insignificant market in replacement parts and decals. There must be enough interest in them to support a decent level of after-market fabrication.
