If you’ve watched any restoration videos on YouTube, you know that the go-to cleaner for rusty parts is a product called Evaporust.
There are many formulations and techniques for rust removal, but the big benefit to Evaporust is that it is environmentally friendly and does an amazing job all by itself.
In this Adam Savage video, he does a quick demo of overnight soaking of parts in Evaporust. He cleans a part with light rust and one with very heavy rust.
