NEW PRODUCT – Edge-Launch USB Type C SMT Plug Connector – Pack of 10

If you’re a DIY enthusiast who’d like to update your project’s connection to the latest USB standard, here is a 10-pack of USB C plug connectors! They can be pick-and-placed onto your design, and then plugged directly into a USB C port.

For mechanical connection, there are four SMT tabs – use plenty of solder to keep these secure, they aren’t as good as through-hole style tabs, but we were not able to find this style of connector with THM tabs so it’s the best there is.

We like this connector for its low profile, reasonable number of pins, and because it makes for adorable compact plug-in designs the way it hugs the edge of a PCB and ‘launches’ off. You can see how it ends up looking by checking out the Serpente board, which has a near-identical connector.
