M5Stack’s Timer Camera X is an all-in-one camera module based on ESP32, integrated with ESP32 chip and has 8M PSRAM. Why so much PSRAM? Well, the camera can shoot up to 2048×1536 resolution photos(!). The module also comes with a built-in 140mAh battery and LED status indicator. There is a reset button under the LED.

If you’re a DIY enthusiast who’d like to update your power only project’s connection to the latest USB standard, here is a 10-pack of USB C power only jack connectors! They’re sturdy metal with 4 through-hole mounting tabs. It’s really hard to rip these off a PCB. In an SMT line, you can just paste over the through-hole slots, and the pads will solder in place.
This thin silvery ribbon is an interesting sensor. It’s made of 2mm wide by 600mm long piezoelectric film sandwich. Piezo film can be used to detect motion or vibration – when shifted around or touched, it creates a small current pulse across the terminals. If a 1 Mega-ohm resistor is placed across the two terminals you will see the current converted into a voltage that can be read by an analog-to-digital converter (ADC).

This 60 LEDs-per-meter Silicone Sheath NeoPixel strip is nicely in the middle. It has a semi-diffused look, thanks to the white silicone casing. The white rubber causes the LEDs to have a pastel shade, and of course they’re incredibly durable.
