Use Adafruit MacroPad for the SpaceX ISS Docking Simulator #MacroPad #CircuitPython @SpaceX
SpaceX hosts an ISS Docking Simulator online. It’s based on the real astronaut back-up system for the Dragon capsule. It lets you try your hand at docking to the International Space Station. The website is at https://iss-sim.spacex.com
Reddit user pquade has programmed two Adafruit MacroPad keypads to use as controls for the simulation, one for rotation and one for translation.
You can either run them on two separate MacroPads or use the MacroPad’s Rotary Encoder to switch between the two layouts as needed. HINT: Get your rotation angles squared away and nulled out with the docking port first, then switch over to the translation mode and everything becomes much more simple.
