Save orchards from pests with Raspberry Pi @Raspberry_Pi #PiDay #RaspberryPi
Rad new post from Raspberry Pi Foundation that details the work being done by researchers at the University of Trento.
Researchers from the University of Trento have developed a Raspberry Pi-powered device that automatically detects pests in fruit orchards so they can get sorted out before they ruin a huge amount of crop. There’s no need for farmer intervention either, saving their time as well as their harvest.
Each Friday is PiDay here at Adafruit! Be sure to check out our posts, tutorials and new Raspberry Pi related products. Adafruit has the largest and best selection of Raspberry Pi accessories and all the code & tutorials to get you up and running in no time!

Hi there, just a quick correction — the orchard pest detector was developed at the University of Trento in Italy, not Toronto. You have to text correct in the inclusion, but not the lead-in.
