Simone Giertz Renovates a Camper to Host a Visit from Her Mom
Maker-comedian Simone Giertz has not seen her Swedish mother in more than 2 years. In anticipation of her visit to Simone’s new LA home, Simone acquired a small camper/trailer to create a guest bedroom for her house.
The video is extraordinarily touching, seeing this mother-daughter reunion. Anyone who hasn’t seen their loved ones during the pandemic can relate (over Christmas, I will see my family for the first time in over 2 years).
The video shows Simone’s renovation of the trailer, her reunion with mom, and a fun twist where, after her first night in the space, mom suggests a significant change. So, she and Simone get to work taking out a second sofa and building an eating nook.
