Building a Floor Vise from a 1957 Popular Mechanics
On Fireball Tool, Jason continues his exploration of old back issues of Popular Mechanics. He goes through an issue (highly entertaining in itself), picks a project, builds it, and then critiques it.
In this episode, he picks a photo out of a 1957 issue of the magazine of a metal floor vise. He tries to re-create it as faithfully as possible.
In the end (like a lot of these projects and images in the mag), he has some issues with it, but it does end up working.
