Different from the orignal designs the closure went to where it belongs (bottom), plus I added some decorative rivets along the rocket body and some additional jets on the tail fins – mainly to give it some surface to stand on while printing.
The Lid (two variations) prints without supports, the rocket body however needs some – but remember to put a support block on the nose and well beneath, otherwise you end up with supports inside the rocket body – and you do not want that.
The model prints just over 20 cm high, to the delight of the future owner of your model the coin slot will accept Swiss 5-Franc coins (and, of course, bills …)

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!
Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
