We got some samples of Nanjing Qinheng Microelectronics CH9102F and it’s pretty much a drop in replacement for Silicon Labs CP201x USB to serial chips. A new driver install is needed but its the same pinout and package – great for us because we’re having difficulty getting CP210x chips in enough quantity to keep our stock of ESP32 Feathers available for sale! We tested it on Windows and a Mac M1 to make sure uploads at 921kbps still work – next up we’ll see if it works on Linux. If so, you may see some of our boards come with this chip in the adafruit shop soon – video.
