Adding Cheap LED Bulb Lighting to Your Shop

In this Chris Notap video, he shows how he replaced his old florescent shop fixtures with cheap LED bulbs in ceramic sockets. He was so happy with the results, his son replaced his garage lighting with the same set-up. And, then he did his workshop. Then his other son did his shop. It’s great when something like this works so well it becomes viral.

Chris starts the video by talking about how expensive LED light panels are (true). But what he doesn’t consider is LED ceiling fixtures. I wrote about these in my newsletter, and like Chris’ success, my raving about them convinced others to make the same conversion. I also bought them for my wife’s art studio when we moved.

Chris solution took a fair amount of work and cost $163 Canadian (~$130 USD). These 4′ LED ceiling fixtures come in chainable packs of 6 and cost $46 USD (about $65 CAD). I like what Chris did, but I still swear by these strip fixtures for ease of installation and the bang you get for the buck.
