Installing a payphone in ones house #Telephony @bertrandom
Bert was walking in Muir Woods one day and came across a pay phone. He showed his daughter how it worked. With a landline connection free with a new fiber internet service, he thought “Why not install a payphone” in the house?
I started perusing eBay. I found a seller that had a handful of payphones. They appear to use a potato to take photos of them, but I took a chance and ordered a Pacific Bell payphone. It arrived pretty quickly.
Not wanting the daughter to dial 911 on the phone, a telephone line simulator was purchased to connect the payphone to a transparent princess phone in the daughter’s bedroom. Now each of them make calls to the other.
