Mystery of Life merges traditional Tibetan art styles and Buddhist imagery with contemporary influences and pop-culture as Rabkar Wangchuk explores and reflects on the universal and inherently human conditions of love and hope . Rabkar’s debut solo exhibition features colorful, pop-art acrylic paintings, mineral pigment on silk, and 3D installations. His works are complemented by sculptures by Michela Martello, an Italian-born artist living in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, who is greatly influenced by Tibetan art and Buddhism.
