This project combines a Raspberry Pi, USB SDR (software-defined radio) receiver and PiTFT display to examine wireless signals and protocols. With the addition of a USB battery bank, this could be the start of a portable RF “sniffer.”
Periodic updates to the Raspberry Pi operating system sometimes break previously-published tutorials; this was one such guide. We sat down with it and patiently worked through some fixes, and it’s back in action now! Best part is that the setup is a bit simpler now.
