UPDATED GUIDES: Adafruit RGB Matrix FeatherWings and Adafruit Protomatter RGB Matrix Library.

A recent update to this Arduino library improves performance on ESP32-S3 (adding DMA support) and S2 (no DMA, but improved refresh rate nonetheless). Guides and examples have been updated with pinouts for these Feather boards. This incorporates lessons learned over the course of recent “ESP32uesday” posts!
