Artemis Press Kit: all about next month’s mega moon rocket launch
Have you heard of Artemis I – the first of several NASA rockets ushering in travel back to the moon and beyond? It’s scheduled for liftoff at Kennedy Space Center in Florida a month from today – August 29, 2022. The body is called the Space Launch System (SLS for short), like an extended shuttle rocket. On top is the Orion capsule, much larger than the Apollo era counterparts.
NASA has just posted a press kit with all the details – the text, pictures and videos on the first mission, Artemis I, which will circle the moon and return to earth.
