Burls Art shares a recent attempt to build the thinnest guitar possible on his YouTube channel (his goal is for less than one inch, which is about half the width of a standard guitar). He uses a west African hardwood called Black Limba, which is often used to build musical instruments. Did you know that there’s a free online wood database? Pretty handy stuff for diving deeper into others’ woodworking projects.
Anyway, finished product looks great and sounds cool too!
