Jimmy DiResta likes gate-mouth tool bags and wanted one in leather. He decided to take apart a Klein Tools canvas bag and repurpose the gate-mouth hinge and use the bag as a pattern.
It might seem wasteful to do this with a brand new tool bag, but at least now he has a pattern to build more. He also had the leather already, left over from another project.
The resulting bag is not perfect, as he likes to say: “You always go to school on the first one.”
