Ford Tests High-Resolution Headlights

What do you think – super helpful or more distracting? It seems like most augmented reality products are focused on screens and glass. These headlights from ford display information right on the road! From Ford News Europe:

Ford engineers are trialling new headlight technology that could help ensure those behind the wheel literally keep their eyes on the road. The headlight can project directions, speed limits or weather information onto the road so the driver’s gaze can remain fixed on the way ahead.

  1. I would love these for one use case: renting a car in a country that drives on the side that opposite to my home side (right side), some kind of warning flashed on the road would be a good safety measure.
