Ever since the Ooze Master 3000 guide I’ve thought the same effect would be fantastic for the right costume, and the process could be documented for the Adafruit Learning System for others to follow along.
Unfortunately such a guide won’t come quite in time for Halloween this year. It really should have happened a month ago, but was thrown a few curveballs, from mail delays to just the scale of the build and some unexpected complexities of building around the human form. There’s a working prototype, but needs some refinement yet.
Limor encouraged me to move ahead with this anyway…first documenting here in a more conversational style for the blog, then collect the pieces later for a proper follow-along tutorial. “There’s Halloweens every year so far,” so it’ll still be relevant later, and interim opportunities for those of us who like to dress up for horror conventions. With a couple weeks yet until Halloween, some self-starter crafty folks may still find some insights or ideas for their own Electronic Halloween quickies!
