Via Donald Bell’s Maker Update comes a recommendation for this article on Makezine about how to create a faux chrome finishes in a 3D print.
The process involves lots of sanding and smoothing of the print, a spray with a copper conductive paint, then an electroplating bath. The results look pretty spectacular.
