If you’ve ever wondered how wooden stave buckets are made, watch this Pask Makes video to find out. It turns out it’s a lot more difficult than I thought. Lots of tapers and angles. But in the end you have a bucket that didn’t require glue to assemble and one that self-seals when it gets went and doesn’t leak.
The results are lovely and the kind of tool that could last a lifetime. While the work seems daunting, in the end (after making 4 of them), he got the time down to three hours.
